Favorite Books & Authors

I want to share with you some of my favorite authors that I have read over the years. You'll learn quickly that I'm a romantic, with a flare for the historical fiction and love of the middle- to late- 1800s era. While I believe in women having the same rights as a man, the 19th century presented much different expectations of men and women's roles that fascinate me. Times when there were gentlemen and gentile ladies, with soirĂ©es, balls, and teas; when people “went calling” or had “days in” to receive said callers. When ladies wore elaborate gowns and men were always dressed to the nights, including a carvat!

When I stated this page I listed. The books I had read by each author, but over the years I have neglected that task and now, after reading almost 200 books, I don’t think listing them is needed. Instead, I have a library of my favorite authors, and I can pretty much guarantee I’ve read all of their books (it’s a goal of mine!). So find an author you like, or a pick a new name and go explore their websites!
